The documentation of this performance is in low resolution; I wanted it to reflect the image and sound distortion perceived by the audience due to the use of audio distortion effects and strobe lights in a very high frequency, imperceptible to the camera’s shutter speed. “A one-on-one activity involves two people talking directly, usually with one teaching or giving information to the other.” In human relationships people find it hard to communicate and understand each other. I believe that we all tend to interpret words the way we want to. When you repeat a word it starts losing its meaning, causing me to question whether some words really exist. Repetition of words, sound, or visuals also tend to change their definitions. The project reflects on the Male and Female relationship, where the musician takes the position of the man who is trying to overpower the woman's voice.
